European Union
The Single-Use Plastics Directive already restricts or bans specific single-use plastic items across the EU. Malaysia
Malaysia's Roadmap Towards Zero Single-Use Plastics 2018–2030 sets the national phase-out timeline. Manufacturers based in Malaysia, or exporting from it, have a fixed runway before compliance stops being optional.
